Welcome to the Nellie Coffman Middle School Band Site!
About The Music Program
The Bands of Nellie Coffman Middle School under the direction of Eric Beall seeks to provide its members with a well rounded music education encompassing music technology, performance, theory, composition, and culture. The Band program serves 232 students across 3 groups. The Instrumental Music Program at Nellie Coffman consists of three Beginning Band classes, a Concert Band, and a Wind Ensemble.
We strive to prepare our students to be college and career ready. Many skills we master in our music classes directly relate to being college and career ready. Through music we teach our students Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Communication, Collaboration through Team Work, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. All of these skills are important for our students future success.
Through our various school site and community performances the Instrumental Music Program gives its members the opportunity to explore the artistic, expressive, cultural, and personal side of music. It is through these performances that students are able to share and educate their community, family, and friends of the importance and enjoyment music brings to our lives.
